Planning for the Future Forum

Issues impacting on the future use and development of land in Katherine will be discussed at a forum to be held on 28 November 2008.

The Planning for the Future Forum will give residents the opportunity to be involved in identifying issues relevant to the future development of Katherine.

Topics to be covered include flooding and water resources and future residential and commercial growth options and implications of those options.

Guest Speakers who have been invited to the forum include Katherine Mayor Ann Shepherd, Director Water Management Department of Natural Resources, Environment, the Arts and Sport Ian Lancaster, Regional Director Department of Planning and Infrastructure Graham Newhouse and Project Manager Strategic Planning Department of Planning and Infrastructure Del Batton.

The forum will give residents the opportunity to become informed and involved in the process of identifying issues relevant to the future development of Katherine.

All interested people are encouraged to attend this important forum at the Katherine Civic Centre to have their say on issues relevant to the future planning for Katherine.
